Dr. Hesum Chegini completed his Rheumatology fellowship at the University of Maryland and is
board-certified in both Rheumatology and Internal Medicine. A Virginia native, Dr. Chegini
dedicated nearly a decade to providing exceptional rheumatologic care in Maryland after
completing his training. He was affiliated with Washington Hospital Center, Holy Cross
Hospital, and Suburban Hospital. Additionally, he served as an adjunct faculty member in
Medicine for Kaiser Permanente, mentoring residents and physicians in training.
From 2017 to 2019, Dr. Chegini was an Executive Board Member of the Montgomery County
Medical Society, where he actively advocated for both physicians and patients. His contributions
to the medical community were recognized for their impact and dedication.
With extensive experience in diagnosing and managing a wide range of autoimmune rheumatic
diseases, as well as conditions affecting the joints, muscles, tendons, and bones, Dr. Chegini is
committed to providing patient-centered care. He believes in working closely with each
individual to develop personalized treatment plans that promote recovery and long-term well-
