Rheumatology Center of Northern Virginia \u2013 Office Policies<\/strong><\/h3>

Our office policies are designed to ensure efficient patient care and a smooth experience for everyone.<\/p>

Appointment Policy<\/strong><\/h3>

To provide timely and effective care, all patients must have a scheduled appointment. Missed appointments and late cancellations not only impact our practice but also prevent other patients\u2014many of whom may be seriously ill\u2014from receiving necessary care.<\/p>

  • No-Show:<\/strong> Failing to attend a scheduled appointment.<\/li>
  • Late Cancellation:<\/strong> Canceling an appointment with less than 24 hours\u2019 notice for office visits<\/strong> or 72 hours\u2019 notice for procedures<\/strong> (e.g., injections or infusions).<\/li><\/ul>

    We understand that emergencies may arise and will evaluate such situations on a case-by-case basis.<\/p>

    Arrival Times<\/strong><\/h4>
    • New Patients:<\/strong> Arrive 30 minutes before<\/strong> your scheduled appointment.<\/li>
    • Established Patients:<\/strong> Arrive 15 minutes before<\/strong> your appointment.<\/li><\/ul>

      Arriving late may result in your appointment being rescheduled and a late cancellation fee applied.<\/p>

      Cancellation & No-Show Fees<\/strong><\/h3>
      • Office Visit:<\/strong> $50 fee for a no-show or late cancellation (less than 24 hours\u2019 notice<\/strong>).<\/li>
      • Procedures (including injections\/infusions):<\/strong> $150 fee for a no-show or late cancellation (less than 72 hours\u2019 notice<\/strong>).<\/li><\/ul>

        These fees are the patient\u2019s responsibility, as insurance companies do not cover them. To cancel or reschedule, please call us at 571-545-4343<\/strong>.<\/p>

        Required Documents & Payments<\/strong><\/h3>
        • Bring your insurance card, photo ID, and copay<\/strong> at check-in.<\/li>
        • Any outstanding balances must be paid<\/strong> before your appointment.<\/li><\/ul>

          Failure to provide these may result in rescheduling.<\/p>

          No Children Under 16 Policy<\/strong><\/h3>

          To ensure a safe, quiet, and professional environment, children under 16 are not permitted<\/strong> unless pre-approved by a provider or management. This policy helps:<\/p>

          • Maintain a calm and focused atmosphere for medical care.<\/li>
          • Protect patients, particularly those who are immunocompromised.<\/li>
          • Prevent disruptions that could impact patient care.<\/li><\/ul>

            We appreciate your understanding and cooperation.<\/p>

            Health & Safety Precautions<\/strong><\/h3>
            • If you have symptoms of COVID-19, flu, or any contagious respiratory illness<\/strong> (e.g., cough, fever, sore throat, shortness of breath), notify our office immediately.<\/li>
            • Call ahead if you are experiencing symptoms<\/strong> so we can conduct a screening over the phone to ensure safety for all.<\/li>
            • For medical emergencies, call 9-1-1 or visit the nearest ER.<\/strong><\/li><\/ul>

              Cell Phone Etiquette<\/strong><\/h3>
              • Silence your phone<\/strong> while in the office.<\/li>
              • Limit phone conversations<\/strong> to avoid disturbing staff and other patients.<\/li><\/ul>
